Kgomotso Mpete epitomizes a township supermom, with the desire to create a better life for her kids. After working few years as an administrator at a bank, she felt the pay wasn’t enough and decided to start Motheo Bakeries. Today Motheo supplies Kagiso with freshly baked bread daily.
Charlotte Monakisi got into restaurant business by default but lost her first venture within the first year of operation. She pulled herself together, applied for funding, started afresh and now Darkie Café is a cosmopolitan hangout spot, in the heart of Johannesburg CBD. Both entrepreneurs have plans of expanding their business, and Making Moves links them up with coaches to help them find a way of making this possible.
