Winnie Serite is creator and producer of Skeem Saam, SABC Education’s youth drama that was
received with great reviews by critics and viewers in 2011. Winnie is the owner of Peu
Communication Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a 100% black female level 3 BEE company.
She is as criptwriter, producer, facilitator, and researcher and has extensive multimedia writing
experience with a broad knowledge of production.
When Winnie was commissioned to produce Skeem Saam she was new to TV drama
production and it was agreed she would need a supervising producer to develop mentorship
relations to fulfill all the objectives of the production.
David Brown was selected to play the role
of mentor to Winnie and advise and help set up the Skeem Saam production.
SABC Education are delighted to announce that the series exceeded all targets set by SABC1
coming second best in terms of audience share and revenue targets.
SABC is re-commissioning Skeem Saam for another season and this time Winnie is flying solo
as Executive Producer. Winnie has an honours degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of
the Witwatersrand and a Post-graduate Diploma in Management from Wits Business School.
After completing her studies in 2000, she cut her teeth in television working for Isidingo,
spending eight years on the scriptwriting team. She also gained experience working on
Muvhango, Soul Buddyz, Take 5, Zero Tolerance and Thobela FM dramas.

Wow I liked her project Skeem Saam and yes I must Job Well Done...I am so looking to her season 2 Job and I would realy like to volunteer in her projects, I just wanna gain a little experience before I go to the university,that would help me in choosing the right career in TV production.
