Thobile Makukule is a young, aspiring actress with a strong theatrical background. She began her career as a performer while in high school, where she received several awards and accolades for drama. She joined the University of Johannesburg Art Centre in 2013, where she developed her skills as a performer by being cast in productions including Equus, Stop Kiss and the musical Marat Sade. In 2014, she performed in the production of The Good Candidate and was part of the production of Marat Sade, which was nominated for a 2015 Naledi Award in the best production (cutting edge) category.

Her most notable role is as Tituba in The Crucible, where she plays the role of a seventeenth century slave woman from Barbados accused of practicing witchcraft during the Salem witch trials. Thobile describes herself as a natural born ‘chameleon’, with a knack for being versatile beyond conventional typecasts. Her other talents include public speaking, events hosting and singing.

JP Rossouw is a singer and ballet dancer. He obtained his NDip Musical Theatre (Singing Major) in 2014 at Oakfields College. He is a fun loving person and has always loved to be on stage and entertain. His television and film experience include dancing in Juanita du Plessis Ferdinand Gernandt, Dulux Monkey and Idols SA.

JP says “Rivoningo is an amazing show that educates little kids and there is nothing more important than educating the youth of tomorrow; I’m so excited, because there is nothing better than working with little children and seeing how they grow and learn.”

Bhekisizwe Mahlawe studied BA communication Science at Unisa and became involved in a lot of acting workshops and theatre plays. The first highlight of her career was a scene with the legendary Bra Joe Mafela in the drama series Shreds & Dreams.  Bhekisizwe says “Rivoningo is a great show, I have strong relationships with kids, and I have done kids shows industrially for quite some time before TV. Rivoningo introduces adventurous ways of learning to children at home.”
