keeping South Africans entertained.
And what better way to celebrate this genre than the return of the Royalty Soapie Awards which this year, boasts two new categories – outstanding audio and, what is certainly going to be one of the most eagerly anticipated awards, Most Popular Soapie.

The 2015 awards will again seek to promote creativity, quality
and excellence of South African soapie productions. Its top stars, industry
heavyweights, celebrities and socialites will gather to celebrate the industry’s
finest on Saturday, 28 March 2015 at the Zulu Kingdom’s Durban International
Convention Centre (Durban ICC)
The call for entries opens on Monday, 10 November and closes on Friday, 28 November. All production houses who feel they have produced outstanding work are encouraged to submit their applications.
This year’s awards will see a total of 20 categories including Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Actress and the coveted Outstanding Soapie.

Says Sindile Xulu, project director, for the Royalty Soapie
Awards, “We are beyond excited about the second awards. This year promises to
bring the glitz and glamour like no other awards ceremony. Every year
millions of people tune into their favourite soapies and the RSAs wishes to
recognise accomplishment in the South African television industry and
celebrate the stars of this genre”.
