Three Golden Horns for 90 Plein Street at the South African Film and Television (SAFTA) Awards.





 
SABC Education’s programme 90 Plein Street received three golden horns this weekend at the 7th annual SAFTAs.  The awards honour, celebrate and promote the talent and accomplishments of the South African film and television industries in the past year.

90 Plein Street received recognition in the categories: Best Actor in a TV Drama Series to Mothusi Magano as Tshepo, Best Supporting Actress in a TV Drama Series Nazli George as Shireen and Best Editor of a TV Drama Series to Tanja Hagen, Tumi Modiba Sharron Hawkes, Yoav Dagan and Jürgen Hellberg.

90 Plein Street focuses on the struggles in the corridors of parliament.  The show intentionally looks at topical issues and current debates that most South Africans are familiar with and have an emotional or intellectual interest in.
