The
second free Green Outdoor Gym has been launched after successfully launching
the first Green Outdoor
Gym in Soweto at the Petrus Molefe Eco-Park on 28 February this year.

to break new grounds by rolling out free use green outdoor gyms in the rest of
Johannesburg in
Association
with City Parks and plans to go national in a quest to address the obesity
crisis in South Africa,
which
is known to be the second most obese nation in the world.
The gym officially
opened on Friday 18 May 2012 with proceedings commencing from 14:00 – 16:00 at
the Diepsloot Park, King Senzagakhona Drive, Diepsloot West. The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Parks Tau,
address the opening.
