Explore, Create and Express more in the new Rivoningo House

Rivoningo is an engaging educational series for children in grades R to three. The show explores the curriculum through fun games and adventures with intergalactic guests, Keke and Lelo who want to experience being human while learning about life on earth.

130 episodes of Rivoningo season seven airs on SABC2 Mondays to Fridays at 10h30 from 8th March 2016 and moves to 09h00 on 1st April 2016. Everything about season seven is different.

Joining the Rivoningo team is three new presenters; Thobile Makukule, JP Rossouw and Bhekisizwe Mahlawe. They join pedantic Lelo, mischievous Keke, fun-loving Vele and adventurous Lebo.

Tshilidzi Davhana, commissioning editor at SABC Education says Rivoningo allows us to explore better, create better and express ourselves better! We visit lots of interesting places, discovering things we didn’t think imaginable.  Each day the show is in a different language; Tshivenda on Monday, Sepedi on Tuesday, Afrikaans on Wednesday, Ndebele on Thursday and IsiZulu on Friday.”

All adventures, explorations and games in the Rivoningo House are rooted in the curriculum as set out by the Department of Education. This certainly doesn’t mean we’re boring, we’re not teaching, we’re discovering! We’re not learning we’re collecting knowledge. Every minute is a barrel of fun!”

Rivoningo explores the seasons, teaches about shapes and how to count. We learn about global warming and have super fun ways making a difference by thinking imaginatively about recycling, re-using and reducing  Every day is a brand new adventure, be it in the house, at school, the zoo or a ski-park.
