Shift talks ‘Sex in relationships’ on 20 May, SABC 1 at 11h00

Communicating openly about sex is difficult for young couples at the start of a relationship. This is the same for couples who have been married for decades; they can have trouble communicating openly and honestly about what they like and dislike.
Why don’t we talk to our partners about sex? Many couples at some point meet obstacles concerning their sex lives. Sex is an important component of a relationship. Sex and sexuality are contested spaces for people with disabilities considering they are human and have human needs.  On Shift we talk about sex in relationships.  Our studio guests are a sexologist, a sex coach, a young person who thinks sex is healthy and a young man who thinks his disability is keeping him from having a relationship.
