This episode of Hola Hamonate starts off with local
music icon Sipho Hotstix Mabuse who recently passed his matric exams after many
years of gracing stages around the world. We talk about the benefits of
literacy for the elderly and visit Nelly Motaung; a 77 year old studying basic
literacy, whose dream is to one day wear a graduation gown.
Hola Hamonate
is presented by the elderly for the elderly; it is a space where the elderly can
share their challenges, triumphs and wisdom. The show is a platform for
conversation where the elderly can unpack current issues at their own pace and
in their own style.
