iSpani and the World of Work – Plumbing on Wednesday 25 July 2012 SABC1 13h30

We often hear about scarce and critical skills; qualifications or jobs that South Africa’s economy needs to make headway and sustain growth in a tough and highly competitive global environment.
These positions just don’t have enough new, skilled people joining. Plumbing is one such artisanal skill or trade in the construction industry that makes up a growing list of key positions across all sectors that are desperately seeking new talent. By choosing a career as a plumber, or other trades and professions on the list, you increase your chances of entering the job market with a skill that will see employers snapping you up.  Plumbing is an apprenticeship and you can learn as you earn.
ISpani is a reality documentary that takes viewers into the world of work. Each week an aspiring careerist is exposed, in detail, to the inner workings of a specific career starting at the very bottom.  They are taken on a process of orientation and practical job shadowing, introduced to and supported by potential employers. In addition to performing specific tasks that build the foundation of a competent employee, iSpani candidates are coached by on-the-ground experts in the field, who share their experiences in developing their own careers with the candidates.
ISpani, produced for SABC Education by Blue Wizard Productions is broadcast on SABC1 Wednesdays @ 13h30.  Mac Leshomo, dancer and singer best known for hosting Turn It Out is presenter of iSpani.  He played the role of Fana in Isidingo and was presenter on YOTV.  Mac studied acting, singing and dancing at the Johannesburg Youth Centre.
Whilst studying he appeared in theatre productions Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing and Romeo and Juliet.  Mac appeared in the documentary The Street Life and in the films Carol and Seven of Daron. He speaks Zulu, Tswana and English.  His special talents include singing, ice skating, basketball, poetry, rollerblading and stand-up comedy. For further details, e-mailmailto:%20ispani@sabc.co.za.

Have the best plumbing system can overcome the problem of water supply and can get rid of waste water. Having a plumber come and fix all the necessities of your home or commercial building is important because they will work in association with other laborers. That means they could notice something wrong with your electrical system and call someone they know in the position.

I don't know what's going on in the world. I think every sector has its own value but that must be proper.
