Next week on Khetha a radio partnership between SAQA, DHET and SABC Education the topic is Careers in Critical Skills. Careers in scarce and critical skills are skills that exist but are scarce in South Africa. There are few people who have these skills and learners don’t necessarily consider them when applying to study at higher education institutions. The result is there are few or no suitably skilled professionals in the labour market and in some instances there are but may not necessarily possess a high level of work experience.
