Episode 1 – 1 November
A press conference introduces Dineo (Warona Seane) to the media as new chair of the mining portfolio committee. After the press conference, Trevor (Jody Abrahams) approaches Dineo and tells her that he wants to write an article on her for a Sunday Newspaper. Suraya (Nadine Naidoo) hosts a dinner party for Dineo when Oratile (Neo Ntlatleng) and Itumeleng (Florence Mokgatsi) show up. Later Dineo sees a television report about twelve miners trapped underground and a rescue team trying to get them out. Tshepo (Mothusi Magano) leader of the Youth League is with his fellow comrades.

Episode 2 – 8 November
At a committee meeting, Marius (Marcel van Heerden) produces a letter received from a mining company on the brink of bankruptcy. They invite the mining company to make presentation on a way forward. Dineo asks a researcher Jabu (Atandwa Kani) to find out what happened to the money from the state. Later Dineo receives a note on facebook from Jabu, saying ‘You are my Hero!’

Episode 3 – 15 November
In Parys Naledi (Connie Mfuku) asks Dineo for assistance in getting a farm to plant their vegetables. Dineo has a meeting with her close friend Lali (S’Thandiwe Kgoroge) who suggests the mining charter be amended. Trevor arrives at Dineo’s place for their interview and a few whiskeys together.

Episode 4 – 22 November
Shireen (Nazli George) and Dora (Jocelyn Broderick) are at a squatter camp; police are protecting them from angry residents threatening violence unless their issues are addressed. Dineo wakes up with Trevor, and tells him they are both adults and it won’t happen again. Dineo and her committee visit the community where illegal miners were shot. Tshepo is on television saying that mines should be nationalized to ensure development.

Episode 5 – 29 November
Dineo is in caucus; she tries to explain to them that ANC had nothing to do with Tshepo’s statements. Shireen wants the President to explain the position of the ANC on nationalization. It is suggested that the committee must reject the call for nationalisation but Dineo refuses. Dineo responds to a question on facebook about her thoughts on the Minister’s statement and is summoned to appear before the ANC disciplinary committee.

Episode 6 – 6 December
Dineo is addressing the committee when the CEO of Pula Mining and the former Minister of Minerals in Zambia tell what nationalisation has done in other parts of Africa. Tshepo arrives with his entourage and makes his submission. Dineo has underestimated Tshepo's influence and power. Tshepo pays Dineo a visit and tells her that the Youth League will be looking for names to put on the national executive of the ANC and they are looking for comrades who share similar views and can move the country forward.

Episode 7 – 13 December
Dineo and Trevor meet at a restaurant. He tells her that the Minister of Mineral’s daughter is part of a company that has just been awarded mining rights with a group of Chinese businessmen. Naledi is admitted to hospital, Dineo asks if she should be moved to a private hospital but Naledi refuses. Dineo phones Jabu and asks him to check all the companies that the Minister’s daughter is involved in. Tshepo is having a secret meeting with Trevor and giving him copies of documents. Dineo is charged with insubordination and bringing the organization into disrepute, she is suspended for three months.

Episode 8 – 20 December
Dineo phones Suraya and asks her to help set up a meeting with the Deputy President. Suraya promises to help. Tshepo arrives in Parys to speak with Dineo and tells her that he is her only lifeline. Dineo and Tshepo have a joint press conference to have her position reinstated.
