With only 14% of South Africans being active book readers, and a mere 5% of parents reading to their children Shift aims to inspire and motivate viewers to read more, buy more and share more literature. Watch Shift this Monday and meet young writers who are publishing their works. You will also meet seasoned writers who will share their insights into writing and getting published and the importance of reading. We will also meet the South African Book Development Council to hear what they are doing to inspire the nation to become readers having recently organized the National Book Week in Newtown, Johannesburg.
