Welcome Karabo Timba to Living Land

Farewell Tshekedi Monyemore, Welcome Polokwane’s Karabo Timba to Living Land.

Karabo Timba is the new face of Living Land broadcast on SABC2, Saturdays at 11h00. Aged 27, Karabo describes herself as a bubbly but professional and rooted person. She has a diploma in advertising and public relations and has experience in educational marketing.

She is a vivacious Pedi girl from Polokwane with experience in television acting and public speaking. She says, “I hope to bring a fresh and edgy feel to the show. The knowledge and skills I’ll acquire I plan to use to uplift young women in my community through peer education.”

In 2007, Karabo left a marketing position to study towards a course in television and radio presenting, and has never looked back. Her television debut was in 2007 when she was chosen as one of the four finalists of the Ponds Passport to Success Television Competition. Later in 2007 she secured a role in Generations. During 2009 and 2010 she continued acting in 7de Laan.

Karabo speaks Sepedi, English, Tshivenda and Afrikaans. When she is not working, she fulfils her other passions by organising parties, promotions and speaking at events.

Living Land presenter Tshekedi Monyemore will hand over to Karabo on Saturday, 20 August at 11h00 when season five of the show begins with a look back at highlights of season four.
