SINGLE FATHERS

Raising children is not easy. Whether you have one child or ten, it's going to be tough. Add to this the fact that you are a single father, and your life is now ten times harder. There is a saying that goes; “Any man can make a child but it takes a real man to be a father”. Fatherhood is not only about waking up every morning and going to work to provide for your child, its more than that. It’s about making your child feel safe secure and knowing that when they have fears and concerns they can run to you. It’s about having a scraped knee and knowing that since mom is not around dad will make me feel better. Fatherhood is the relationship you have with someone you call a father someone that may have nothing but is willing to go to the ends of the earth, willing to give up everything just to see you happy and safe.
In today's world it's not at all uncommon to see single moms raising their children, but when you are a single father, the world is suddenly a huge hurdle.

“It is easier for a father to have children than for children to have a real father. “Pope John XXIII
This week Ratanang explores the challenges and joys of being a single father
